First-time cooling takes the longest, but once at your desired temperature, the chiller only runs as scheduled. KOUD Pro may only need to run 1-2 hours per day, depending on climate and usage.

• Yes, KOUD Ice Baths and Chillers are designed for outdoor use.
• The KOUD Edge tub is IPX-6 rated, meaning it can withstand strong water jets and heavy exposure to water. The KOUD Chillers are IPX-4 rated, meaning they are resistant to splashing water from any direction.
• Chillers can be kept outdoors, but we highly recommend placing them in a shaded area to improve efficiency and extend their lifespan. Ideally, keep them under cover to protect from direct sunlight, heavy rain, and pooling water.

Yes, we know, this is a common complaint in the industry. Many water chillers display temperatures lower than they actually are. We've tested chillers from multiple manufacturers and experienced this first-hand.

When we had a KOUD Edge full of water reading 3.7°C on a competitor’s chiller, we switched the hoses over to a KOUD Chill Pro, and it read 4.5°C, the same as our digital thermometer.

We did the opposite test, our KOUD Chill Pro was reading 2.7°C with the KOUD Edge full of water, then we connected it to a competitors chiller, and it read 1.8°C.

So, you could have a KOUD Chill Pro actually delivering 2.7°C, or a competitor delivering around 4.5°C but saying it’s 3.7°C - even though both chillers are set to 3°C and priced similarly.
